For those of us who are committed to a regular Pilates routine, we can feel the positive results in our bodies. However, it is always exciting to see positive results from sound scientific research projects. As people age, their balance often deteriorates which can lead to falls and broken bones. There was a Pilates study done on older adults who were at risk for falling. After only ten session of a group Pilates class on the reformer all of the control group had significant gains in their ability to balance.
